The city calls it the Summer Street Fair, and this is its fifth straight week of programming, with Thursday, August 6 set as the closing night.
The lineup moved through genres on purpose. The New Originals opened the season on July 9 with dance staples from the 1970s and 80s. Sangria Band brought Latin rock, old-school classics, and Top 40 covers on July 16. BIG, short for Brothers Igniting Groove, covered soul and R&B on July 23. Smoking Cobras closed out July 30 with classic rock and roll. The city has billed August 6, the season finale, as a country send-off, which means if you haven't made it downtown yet this summer, this Thursday is the last chance until next year.

Saturday Moved To Dos Lagos
While the Civic Center handles Thursdays, the Shops at Dos Lagos runs its own calendar on Saturdays at the outdoor amphitheater on the same property. Early August's booking pulled in country touring artist Trace Adkins rather than a strictly local cover act, which says something about how far the venue's draw has grown since its early years as a mostly retail development.
What actually changed the calculus for a lot of residents wasn't the stage. It was what surrounds it. Reunion Kitchen + Drink sits on a patio raised above the development's small manmade lake, a different proposition than the strip-mall dining that used to define the area. A short walk puts you at CISCo Restaurant + Bar, Blackstone Kitchen, or Circle City Tavern, three names that didn't exist in Corona a few years ago and now sit near the top of local best-of restaurant lists as of August 2026. None of them require getting on a freeway to reach.
What Just Landed On Bedford
The clearest evidence that Corona stopped exporting its dinner reservations sits about ten minutes from Dos Lagos, at Bedford Marketplace on Bedford Canyon Road. Luna Grill, the fast-casual Mediterranean chain, confirmed a Corona location there as the first site in its 2026 growth plan, a new-build spot going up near the plaza's gas station and gym. The chain's target was a February opening, and it's arriving alongside Keke's Cafe and Ike's Love and Sandwiches, two more tenants the same report listed as incoming for the same plaza.
None of these are destination restaurants on their own. What they add up to is a plaza that used to be background noise on the way to somewhere else, now doing enough business to keep three new tenants signed at the same time.
The Weekend Add-On, Ten Minutes South
For anyone who wants a full weekend and not just two nights, Tom's Farms sits about ten minutes south on Temescal Canyon Road. It opened in 1971 as a 3,500-square-foot produce stand, added Tom's Old Fashion Hamburgers in 1974, and built its 50,000-square-foot furniture store in 1995. The farmers market, petting zoo, and weekend live bands are still the draw more than five decades later, and it's the kind of stop that turns a Thursday-night plan into a full weekend without ever needing to leave the immediate area.
Building A Week Out Of It
A resident trying to get the most out of this summer's calendar before it resets in the fall could string it together something like this:
- Thursday: Civic Center for the Summer Street Fair, arriving by 6 for a food truck dinner and staying for the 7 p.m. set.
- Saturday afternoon: Tom's Farms for the farmers market and whatever local act is playing on the property that weekend.
- Saturday night: Dos Lagos for dinner at Reunion Kitchen or Circle City Tavern, then the amphitheater if there's a show worth the ticket.
- Any weeknight: Bedford Marketplace, now that Luna Grill, Keke's Cafe, and Ike's Love and Sandwiches have filled in a plaza that used to close early.
